Tin Pot Society

Tin Pot Society weren’t meant to be a band. Jakob Ratnayeke, Max Black, Ross Munro and Jan Hellmich got together initially on social terms. But sporadic jams took root, and songs started to bloom. Between the self-described music obsessives, influences like The Velvets and early The Jesus and Mary Chain are distilled into jangly, stripped-back garage rock. Hailing from Boorloo (Perth), Tin Pot’s sound also feels like a new page in the acclaimed tome of Australian rock; laconic, frill-free, warm, and pretty bloody good.

Their debut EP ‘Billy Bonkers Flower Show’ releases on cassette October 16, 2026.
